Standaardwerk ‘BrandChild’ in 15 oneliners

  • This is the first generation born with a mouse in their hands and a computer screen as their window on the world (pagina 2)
  • One tween can influence tens of others, and in almost no time at all millions of tweens are following (5)
  • Brands have become symbols for an identity, offering the opportunity to be trendy, cool, rich, outrageous, rebellious or just plain stylish (13)
  • Each trend is set in the media (17)
  • Often brand preferences correlate with musical taste (21)
  • Having fun was rated by 86% as the most important element in tweens' lives (34)
  • A brand that is seen to be fun and cool today is likely to be the one that will still be desirable in 10 years' time (63)
  • To have the best is much the same as being the best (77)
  • Tweens are billboards for well-known brands or idols (116)
  • Understanding a community is the key to succes (141)
  • Tweens like to spend, but they don't like being told on what (145)
  • Your tween campaign should use at least 5, if not 10, different media channels (179)
  • Money is no longer a reard but an expected revenue channel – an entertainment allowance (217)
  • Tweens expect everything in their world to be alive and interactive around the clock (239)
  • If there's one important lesson to be learned, it's to always stay true to your brand's DNA (290)
